Eligible lenders may submit loans to IBank for consideration under the Climate Loan Participation program.

Step 1: For the Climate Loan Participation, IBank will be posting an open Request for Proposals (RFP). This RFP will remain open with submissions accepted on a rolling basis until the RFP is withdrawn by IBank. Lenders are advised to review the requirements of the RFP and to gather the necessary information prior to submission.

Step 2: Send the Climate Loan Participation request and relevant loan documents to IBank at climatefinancing@ibank.ca.gov​

Due to limited available funding and a requirement to create a sustainable financing, Loan Participation approval is not certain and is subject to an IBank credit confirmation. Additionally, U.S. EPA continues to provide updated guidance and clarity on program requirements and restrictions. For this reason, it is recommended that borrowers and lenders engage with IBank early to ensure the best odds of getting an IBank Loan Participation.
